Arshad Nadeem (born January 2, 1997) is a top javelin thrower from Pakistan. He is now champion of both the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games. Nadeem Arshad made Olympics 2024 record with a 92.97-meter throw at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
He has competed in two Olympics and was the first Pakistani to make it to the final and field events at these games and the World Athletics Championships. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, he set a new record with a 90.18-meter throw, being the first South Asian to exceed 90 meters. Javelin’s throw at Arshad Nadeem was a great victory for his country, Pakistan.
In 2023, he won a silver medal at the World Athletics Championships, making him the first Pakistani to win a medal at this event. He represents the Water and Power Development Authority in Pakistan’s National Games.

His recruitment was endorsed by the then-chairman of WAPDA, General (retd) Muzammil, who helped secure Nadeem’s placement in Grade 11. in 2015, which he later called “the best thing that happened” to him.
